Editing Portfolio ~

Below is a sample of the work I’ve completed for various clients, some of which is still ongoing.

While I can operate purely as a video editor, many of the my clients have also asked me to work as a larger part of the organization, and I greatly enjoy these opportunities to support projects at a more wholistic level.

Roles: Editor, Production Advisor, Social Media Manager

Dungeons & Drag Queens

A story-telling based game and show, DNDQ needed to create social media clips that held viewers’s attention all the way to the punchline. Through dynamic post-framing and bright color grading, the clips are attention grabbing, with the stylized font and logo overlay making for clear and connected branding. In order to capture the live show in long form, a multi-camera setup allows viewers to see all parties as if they were in the room with them.

Bumbershoot 2024

Seattle’s premier music festival, Bumbershoot has rebranded as an event strongly connected to its community that features a wide variety arts and entertainment. The content needed to match this rebranding, showcasing the local artists, restaurants, and vendors while also highlighting a sense of bright, summer fun. The Culinary content showcases the connection to the city, with familiar sights, sounds, and tastes that you’ll find around the event, while the Fashion District videos showcase and encourage visitors to explore this emerging part of the festival.

An event created by the Bumbershoot Workforce Development Program, the show acted as both a program fundraiser and concert. This created a unique marketing situation, where groups interested in each portion of the event needed to be targeted. Content for concert-goers was short form, attention grabbing, and a clear call to action, while a longer interview series featuring program alumni was used in an email marketing campaign to target potential donors.

Roles: Video Editor, Production Assistant

Fun & Flirty

Fun & Flirty allows comedians to bring their single friends on stage and tell the audience exactly why you should (or shouldn’t) date them. Their clips needed to support the talent of the comedians, and punch-ins on punchlines and a clear pacing & style of the captions allow their delivery to come through loud and clear. When the screen was unable to be captured during production, overlays were used to maintain the viewer’s sense of being a part of the audience.

Roles: Video Editor, Videographer, Producer, Interviewer, Live Stream Tech

Earshot Jazz

A month long festival featuring artists from across the world, Earshot Jazz always has new artists for its fans to discover. A short interview series allowed the artists interviewed to create promotional content that offered an insight to their established fans, while also serving to create intrigue for potential new viewers. The long form content was kept to a simple logo overlay over a high quality live stream recording to maintain the focus on the talented performers.

Roles: Video Editor, Production Assistant

The Emerald Gem Podcast

An up and coming podcast featuring up and coming musicians, The Emerald Gem embraces its inherently colorful identity through the incorporation of green throughout the pre and post production process. Wanting to focus on the advice and stories of these emerging artists, the edit stays relatively static, with movement coming from caption animations that draw the attention of the viewer to what the artists have to say.
